Project title: WERNETH SCHOOL WORKING WITH THE COMMUNITY
Werneth School Council is an active group that have successfully managed projects on a variety of issues. It has focused on developing partnerships and addressing community issues, specifically targeting anti-social behaviour and residents' perception of young people. Residents' groups were invited in and issues discussed. The Council worked closely with the YOT, ASBAT and Stockport Homes and developed a teaching pack including a DVD. This is used in schools and has gained awards from the local council and Stockport Homes for addressing causes of anti-social behaviour.
